Season 4

Here’s that shake-up I promised last time. The only original cast member, William Hartnell, gets a well-deserved retirement, and his hand-picked replacement steps into the Doctor’s dapper coat. The barrier between visits to past eras of history and traveling to distant planets has been blurred, with the addition of stories taking place in then-modern Britain. It feels like the show really can go anywhere it wants at this point, and that it has a better idea of what will fly and what won’t than it did last year.
